Traveling with Baby to Costa Maya, Mexico

Costa Maya, Mexico is a great port of call. Its full of restaurants, lounge areas, shopping and water sports. We decided to take a taxi to Mahahual beach town nearby which cost us about two dollars per person. As we arrived at Mahahual beach, unfortunately it started pouring so we ended up hiding in a restaurant until the rain stopped and had some early morning tequila and chips (apparently thats what they do on rainy days). Luckily it stopped after about a half hour. We then went to look for a beach restaurant with jet ski rentals on location so we can relax and eat on the beach while the boys jet ski. As we were walking along the beach we came across numerous aggressive shop owners puching  you to eat at their restaurants or buy  merchandise at their store. We bypassed most of the salespeople until we found a restaurant that had everything we were looking for.  Hubby was finally able to jet ski for a half hour at thirty five dollars USD. Once we took the taxi back to the port we still had time to shop around :-)

Large free pool at the Costa Maya Port, surrounded by restaurants and gift shops

Navigating Juliana in the Chicco Liteway Stroller around the pool was tricky with a stroller

Lounge area with Hammocks and chairs

Plenty of shopping in port

Restaurant area with a view of the Carnival Dream Cruise

Mahahual Promenade: We were literally bombarded by shop and restaurant reps every 30 feet.  We got here early in the morning and it was still deserted

Nice looking restaurant on the Promenade.  We didn’t eat here because we wanted to eat someplace that had Jet Skis on location

We finally found a restaurant with Jet Skis on location although their Jet Skis looked like it was on it’s last of 9 lives

At least Papa Jay was finally able to jet ski ;-)

I think my Juliana was upset it was cloudy lol
